Former NBA and Nets player Jason Collins, the first openly gay player in league history, has died at the age of 47.
Collins announced in November that he had Stage 4 Glioblastoma and his family revealed the tragic news of his passing on Tuesday.

He died peacefully in his home.
Collins’ 13-year NBA career spanned two stints with the Nets, along with the Grizzlies, Timberwolves, Hawks, Celtics and Wizards.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
