I have a Titanic teabag holder and Titanic blend tea my daughter bought me when she visited the Titanic Artifact Exhibition in Las Vegas. With the recent 114th anniversary of it sinking, I have somewhere, probably in the garage is old home school curriculum back when it was the 100th anniversary in 2012.
This had me thinking of people in history who were alive when it sank. Harriet Tubman was still alive and died on March 10th, 1913. Booker T Washington was alive and died November 14th, 1915. For some reason I thought Albert Einstein was alive in my lifetime but he died April 18th, 1955 so he was also alive.
I was just having random thoughts about the Titanic. The first movie I ever saw on Titanic was A Night to Remember released in 1958 but I saw it on TV when I was around 9 years old. I also saw the 1953 version of Titanic starring Barbara Stanwyck and Clifton Webb. I remember this movie more because I loved Barbara Stanwyck when I was a little girl. Plus my dad thought it was important for us children to learn about the Titanic. I saw the 1997 version of Titanic and I regret it now due to inappropriate scenes between Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
I’m not sneezing quite as much but it looks like the winds will be back tomorrow. I think I will avoid going outside. Tomorrow I hope to get a post up in the afternoon.
