Yankees invite Ronaldo Hernández, Jayvien Sandridge to spring training

The Yankees camp that opens Tuesday, when pitchers and catchers report, has grown a bit larger.

The Yankees announced Sunday that they invited catcher Ronaldo Hernández and lefty Jayvien Sandridge to major league spring training, bringing the attendance to 69.

Hernández is a 27-year-old who has spent nine seasons in the minors and still is looking for his MLB debut.

Sandridge, 25, owns a career 3.87 ERA in six minor league seasons with Baltimore, Cincinnati and San Diego.
