A woman is set to face trial for an alleged ‘threatening’ bumper sticker on her car which read “Don’t be a c–t.”
Georgia Venables, 29, of Chester, pleaded not guilty to displaying a threatening/abusive writing/sign/visible representation likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 28.
Prosecutor Valeriya Tonkinson told the court that Ms. Venables was seen driving on the A5480 in the west of the city on Wednesday, January 8, with the bumper sticker attached.
The prosecutor said the defendant denied the bumper sticker had caused distress and that there were disagreements over the sticker’s size.
Ms. Venables will face trial at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 29, and has been granted unconditional bail.
