A woman was killed after a fire broke out in a Harlem apartment building on Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
Police and fire officials were called to the six-story building on West 140th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and Frederick Douglass Boulevard just after 4:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

An unidentified 62-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, cops said.
Roughly 80 fire and EMS personnel worked to battle the blaze, Pix11 reported.
The 1-alarm fire was later extinguished over an hour later, authorities added.

A charred teddy bear was spotted on the roof of an SUV in front of the building where the flames broke out.
The cause of the inferno is under investigation by the FDNY Fire Marshals’ office.
The FDNY did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
