This level of pettiness just doesn’t make cents.
For short-changing a server out of a decent tip, leaving her only two pennies as punishment for serving up a seemingly innocuous compliment, an “insecure” wife is now the object of the internet’s ire.
“Don’t call my husband sweetheart,” Savannah, a married content creator, inked on a restaurant receipt, ordering that her server refrain from making the moves on her man.
To underscore her message, the discontented diner paid her $40.21 dinner bill and added the measly two cents in gratuity out of sheer spite, rounding out her grand total to $40.23.
“Don’t play with me,” Savannah spat in the caption of her trending TikTok clip, which has scared up over 10.5 million views from outraged onlookers.
“Oh girl get therapy, it’s not that deep sweetheart,” a commenter criticized.
“BOOOO! [You’re] lame AF for that,” jeered another, punctuating her disapproval of Savannah’s behavior with several tomato emojis.
“I hope she f- – -s your man,” teased an equally vexed viewer.
“Insecure and broke,” another jabbed.
And that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Failing to adequately tip waiters has been deemed très déclassé in today’s struggling economy — even when the server isn’t doing a bang up job.
A 30-year-old restaurant patron was virtually eaten alive by social media savages for taking back a $150 bonus they’d left for a server who made a silly mistake towards the end of their meal.
There’s even a small army of shameless “non-tippers,” like Stewart, a Hooters habitué, who proudly go through life stuffing servers each time they eat out at hotspots.
“It’s my money ultimately, I can choose how I give it out,” said Stewart. “That’s just the bottom line.”
Savannah seems to be echoing similar sentiments.
Responding to the swarm of curses and epithets being hurled her way, the unperturbed penny-pincher posted visuals of a woman saying: “I really, really, really, really wish everybody knew that I don’t give a f- -k.”
