The title of this post isn’t totally accurate, because in Episode 8 of Landman Season 2 (“Handsome Touched Me”), “Cheyenne the physical therapist” is actually her own, self-taught physical therapist, who is spontaneously hired by Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) to be a physical therapist for TL (Sam Elliott), Tommy’s creaky-boned, bum hipped 82-year-old father. Surely there are plenty of actual licensed medical professionals in West Texas who could provide PT for TL. But this is Landman, so Tommy instead does his hiring at Rick’s Cabaret in Odessa. Cheyenne the physical therapist is also Cheyenne the dancer.
Cheyenne accepts Tommy’s job offer, palms the roll of hundreds he peels off a roll, and she’s soon conducting calming aquatherapy floats with TL at the M-Tex house in Midland. But who is Cheyenne the physical therapist on Landman? Who is the actress who plays Cheyenne on Landman? Decider has done some checking.
Who is Cheyenne on Landman? Meet Francesca Xuereb.
Born August 28, 1998 in Detroit, Mich., Francesca Xuereb has appeared in Young Sheldon, the Ted prequel on Peacock, and that wild Pam & Tommy bio-series from back in 2022. But The Sex Lives of College Girls might be where you know Xuereb from best. Across Season 1 and Season 2 she played Quinn Cannon, president of Kappa Beta Rho sorority and the high school friend of Leighton Murray, Reneé Rapp’s character before Rapp exited College in favor of the “psychotic” music industry. According to her Instagram, Xuereb also has a horror movie coming out, where she’ll star alongside Sierra McCormick and Cailyn Rice.
On Landman, it certainly seems like Cheyenne will become a fixture around the M-Tex house. Within seconds of arriving, she accepts how the place is a chaotic bunkhouse full of random oil and gas workers, plus Tommy Norris and his entire family living there. None of that static matters to Cheyenne. She calls TL sad but sweet, and enjoys drifting calmly with the old guy in the pool out back. Who knows what Taylor Sheridan has in store for the final few episodes of Landman Season 2. Maybe they’ll be joined out there by TL’s other new friend in Midland, Shelby from next door.
