One of the most wholesome and silliest holidays is upon us, which means it’s time to rewatch the movie of the same name, Groundhog Day!
Bill Murray plays the pessimistic weatherman Phil Connors assigned to report on the annual Groundhog Day celebrations in Punxsutawney. Things go awry when Phil becomes trapped in a time loop, reliving February 2 over and over again. The film also stars Andie MacDowell and Chris Elliot.
And, for those who may need a reminder, this holiday means if famed groundhog Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, that equals six more weeks of winter. If you believe in that sort of thing, I suppose. (Spoiler alert: Phil saw his shadow today, February 2, 2025. Good news for skiiers, bad news for everybody else.)
