Where to buy tickets, best prices

Death Cab For Cutie is looking in the rearview mirror.

Ben Gibbard’s beloved indie group just announced they’re taking their 2005 Grammy-nominated album “Plans” on the road for a short 20th anniversary tour with special guests Nation of Language and The American Analog Set on select dates.

Along the way, the “Soul Meets Body” pop-rockers are scheduled to play three shows at Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Paramount on Friday, Aug. 8, Sunday, Aug. 10 and Tuesday, Aug. 12.

Midway through the mini-Brooklyn Paramount residency, DCFC will cross state lines to open for My Chemical Romance on their ‘Black Parade Tour’ — where they’ll play their seminal 2006 record in full — at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 9.

“This year marks the 20th anniversary of ‘Plans,’” the band shared on Instagram. “To celebrate, we will be performing the album in its entirety in three cities this August.”

“‘Plans’ is an album that changed the trajectory of Death Cab for Cutie forever — it was our major label debut, it went platinum, and earned us our first GRAMMY nominations. We are only playing a few shows in its honor as we’re currently working on our next studio album, but we would be remiss to not take the opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary in some fashion.”

The quick nostalgia run follows the group’s 2023 massive co-headlining trek with Postal Service that shone a light on their critically-lauded 2003 records “Transatlanticism” and “Give Up.”

If you’d like to see Death Cab revisit “I Will Follow You into the Dark,” “Crooked Teeth,” “Marching Bands of Manhattan” and the rest of “Plans,” tickets are available for all shows as soon as today.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one of the Brooklyn shows is $105 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Concerts in other cities have tickets going for as low as $51 before fees.
