President Trump declared it was “liberation day” moments after being sworn in as president Monday — vowing “the golden age of America begins right now” with a ‘revolution of common sense.”
“The inflation crisis was caused by massive overspending and escalating energy prices, and that is why today I will also declare a national energy emergency. We will drill, baby, drill,” Trump declared.
This speech was significantly longer than his 2017 inaugural, which lasted about 16 minutes and was the shortest such address since Jimmy Carter in 1977.
