Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) are holding a press conference Tuesday afternoon to outline legislative proposals Democrats will push to combat President Trump’s “extremism” agenda.
The press release announcing the event said the remarks would focus on what Democrats can do to “fight the chaos that the Trump Administration has already unleashed on the American people, including rising prices, threatening damaging tariffs, freezing taxpayer money, and letting unelected bureaucrats (DOGE) have access to the data of every American.”
Their remarks are scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. EST.
