Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) are in Denver on Friday, holding a rally in protest of President Trump’s policies that they argue favor the rich.
The event comes a day after Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez kicked off their “Fight Oligarchy” tour in Las Vegas. The two lawmakers focused much of their criticism on tech billionaire Elon Musk in their first remarks, arguing that wealthy people are targeting programs like Medicaid and Social Security to make allowances for tax cuts for rich Americans.
They also held a rally in Greeley, Colo., earlier Friday and another in Tempe, Ariz., Thursday evening.
The Denver event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EDT.
