The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight is holding a hearing Tuesday afternoon examining the Department of Justice (DOJ) under former President Biden and the previous administration’s “weaponization” of the agency.
The panel will also “explore how the Trump-Vance Administration is working to restore the rule of law.”
It comes after President Trump signed an executive order last month aimed at correcting what he called “past misconduct” of the department. It also follows a purge at the DOJ of agents and prosecutors who worked on the president’s criminal cases — staff he said he could no longer “trust.”
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EST.
