Warren Sapp bizarrely walks out of Super Bowl 2025 interview

One of Warren Sapp’s interviews on Radio Row ahead of Super Bowl 2025 took a strange turn when the Hall of Fame defensive tackle walked out of his segment with Infinity Sports Network.

Host Zach Gelb asked Sapp about Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter and where he fit alongside some of the other top names — including Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward and Travis Hunter — in the 2025 NFL Draft, and Sapp flipped the question around by asking, “What was the last edge rusher from Penn State?”

And when Gelb said Cowboys star Micah Parsons, Sapp, a defensive assistant on Deion Sanders’ Colorado staff last season, started laughing.

“And what rushing he doing? What pass rush he got?” Sapp asked Gelb.

“Hey, he’s 15 sacks a year,” Gelb responded. Parsons has collected at least 12 sacks in each of his four NFL seasons but hasn’t hit 15 yet.

“What?” Sapp chimed back. “You better look that up. Fifteen what?”

And after another two rounds of back-and-forth comments, Sapp started to take off his headset and said, “I’m gonna leave you on that one” — walking away from the camera without acknowledging Gelb’s request for a handshake while continuing to debate about Parsons.

“We appreciate it, thanks so much,” Gelb said as Sapp walked away and ignored the handshake. “Leaving me hanging, you’re leaving me hanging. Micah Parsons, he’s a good pass-rusher.”

Sapp, who collected 96.5 sacks across a 13-year career and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013, complimented Parsons — and actually was critical of the Cowboys for not using him as a pass-rusher full-time, saying his numbers would be “off the charts” — during a 2022 interview on the “Rich Eisen Show.”

But last year, in an interview on “Fearless with Jason Whitlock,” Sapp blasted Parsons and said he’d “show you enough plays where he looks like Betty Taylor rather than Lawrence [Taylor],” according to Awful Announcing.

Carter collected 23 sacks across three seasons with the Nittany Lions, including 12.0 this year to anchor a unit that helped Penn State advance to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff — where they were eliminated by Notre Dame.

He has been considered one of the top five picks in April, including in a mock draft by The Post’s Steve Serby where Carter went to the Patriots at No. 4 overall.
