RALEIGH, N.C. — Walter Clayton Jr. has many gifts.
Most of them are obvious, like the otherworldly things he does on the basketball court, leading Florida to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and becoming the first Gators player ever to be named first-team All-American.
Clayton’s most profound gift of all, however, has been his decision-making, which has consistently been mature beyond his years.
He’s shaped his journey, which continues with Sunday’s second-round game with Florida against UConn at the Lenovo Center, a Sweet 16 berth on the line, by making a number of critical life-altering decisions.
