Melissa Roxburgh is ready for a Shaw family reunion in CBS’s hit series Tracker.
The actress, who became a household name with her role in Manifest, guest-starred on an episode of Tracker Season 1 last May, where she played protagonist Colter Shaw’s (Justin Hartley) younger sister Dory Shaw.
The siblings reunited at the University of Wyoming, where Dory works as a professor — and where Colter also happened to be searching for a missing student. Their estranged relationship was apparent from their first conversation, with Dory calling out her brother for dodging her phone calls. However, they quickly began to bond over family secrets.
Now that we’re halfway through Tracker Season 2, Roxburgh agreed that it might be time for Colter and Dory to have a reunion.
“I think that they’ve kind of asked if I might come back,” the actress told DECIDER while promoting her new NBC series The Hunting Party. “I’m not sure when. I’m not sure what they’re writing for. But I’m pretty sure I’ll be back there at some point.”
Dory set the stage for a third Shaw sibling when she urged Colter to reach out to him in Season 1, Episode 11. At the time, Colter said he had “nothing to say” to his older brother Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles), who ultimately made his debut in the following episode and returned to the show for Season 2, Episode 2.
While Colter has reunited with both of his siblings on separate occasions, fans have yet to see all three of them in the same room together. But Roxburgh is holding out hope that it will happen someday!
“I think that’d be so fun because actually one of my first roles was on Supernatural working with Jensen,” she said, referring to her work on two episodes of the long-running WB series. “So now that it’s been some time passed, I think it’d be fun to work together again.”
In the meantime, Roxburgh is staying booked and busy with her new crime procedural show The Hunting Party, which follows her character, FBI agent Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, as she hunts down the world’s worst serial killers after they’ve escaped from a top-secret prison.
The Hunting Party premieres Monday, Feb. 3 at 10/9c on NBC, while new episodes of Tracker air Sunday nights at 9/8c on CBS.
