There’s something undeniably breathtaking about manned spacecraft launches. The fascination that we humans, as poet John Gillespie Magee put it, are able to ‘let slip the surly bonds of Earth’: 





Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew—
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Today, for the first time in 50 years, NASA launched Artemis II on a 10-day mission around the moon. While there will be no moon landing on this mission, the crew will test the long-range capabilities of the Orion spacecraft with an eye toward a future return to the moon and even potentially some missions to Mars. 

Thankfully, for those who remember watching the tragic Challenger launch in 1986, today’s liftoff went off without a hitch at 6:35 PM. 

Of course, the usual suspects tried to ruin the wonder of today’s space launch. Chuck Schumer tried to turn Artemis II into an anti-Trump rant because that’s just how broken he is. 

And then there is the legacy media, including Fox News, which couldn’t help but inject identity politics into the lunar mission.

Oh, give us a break. No one cares. We care that they are qualified and the best at what they do. That’s all. 

(And who let the Canadian on board? Hopefully, our neighbor to the north produces better astronauts than it does hockey teams.)

One of the worst culprits in the legacy media, CNN, asked quite possibly one of the stupidest questions we’ve ever heard of a young boy who traveled to Kennedy Space Center to witness the launch firsthand. 

We apologize in advance for this young man’s NSFW language below, but he delivered one of the best answers EVER. Watch: 

Ka-BOOM. As Ralph Cramden once said, this based boy sent CNN …’ Bang, Zoom! Right to the moon!’

Yes, there were many people on X critical of his language, saying that his parents should have raised him better. But we think those people are just killjoys because we LOVED his response, and we’re still laughing at it. 

HA! 

Jimmy’s Famous Seafood often goes viral for its equally blunt (and NSFW) social media posts. They should hire him immediately. 





The original poster of the video, Nicky X, was delighted that Libs of TikTok picked it up and gained the clip the attention it deserved. 

Hey, you post a video that funny, you deserve to go viral.

The kids are gonna be alright. At least this one is. 

Seriously. What a silly question. 

Every boy dreams of growing up to be an astronaut. At least they did when this writer was a child. These days, they probably dream more of someday getting three million followers on TikTok. 

But not this young man. He’s got his priorities straight, even if his parents make him sit with a bar of Lifebuoy soap in his mouth when he gets back home. 

We’re not sure, but we hope that’s what he was saying. 

You might as well ask a young boy why he gets excited about baseball, firecrackers, and a good dog by his side. 





Pardon the expression, but the reason Artemis II is exciting and historic isn’t exactly rocket science. 

We agree (though Mr. Norris might have also told the boy to watch his language). 

LOL. Don’t be surprised if the President invites this young man to the White House and gives him a Medal of Freedom. 

And the fact that it happened to CNN is just icing on the cake. 

Maybe Scott Jennings will steal this kid’s line every time he trounces Abby Phillip or one of the other deranged leftists he shares a panel with during the evenings. 





That he is. 

Now, THAT would be pretty cool. 

Maybe one day in the not-so-distant future, we’ll see an astronaut getting ready for America’s first manned trip to Mars, and he’ll turn to the camera before entering his spacecraft, flash a sly grin, and say, ‘Remember me, CNN?
