Taylor Swift is in the house at tonight’s Super Bowl, to nobody’s surprise. What was shocking, however, was the brutal greeting the songstress received from Eagles fans Sunday evening. When Swift — who is supporting her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, at tonight’s game — was shown on the Jumbotron, she was not met with a warm welcome.
As the camera panned to Swift in the stands at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, the crowd booed loudly. But, pro she is, Swift wasn’t shaken up by all the noise.
She turned to Ice Spice and her friend Ashley Avignone and raised her brows then offered a side eye in response, but didn’t react much beyond that.
The NFL posted the shocking moment to their official Instagram account, where they caption the video, “@taylorswift’s reaction 😂.”
Swift may not have captured the hearts of everyone at the Superdome, but she did have a defender in tennis pro Serena Williams, who tweeted in support of Swift after the moment she was booed aired on the Super Bowl broadcast.
Williams shared support for her on X, writing, “I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!”
Last year, Swift had her own viral moment at the 2024 Super Bowl when she was captured on camera chugging an entire beer. The 1989 singer housed a whole drink, then slammed it down when she was finished, proving she can party with the best of them.
Unfortunately for Swift, the first half of the game isn’t going so well for her boyfriend and his team — so we don’t think we’ll be seeing her take any victory drinks just yet.
Super Bowl LIX is airing tonight, Feb. 9, on FOX, FOX Deportes, NFL+ and Tubi.
