Tamra Judge is opening up further about her status on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
After teasing an exit from the show on her Instagram story on Sunday (March 9), Judge broke down on Wednesday’s (March 12) episode of her and Teddi Mellencamp‘s Two T’s in a Pod podcast, admitting to guest host Dolores Catania that she’s “catching [her] breath a little bit.”
“I think I just hit a wall,” she lamented. “Like, there’s so much going on in my life. It’s just… I don’t know. Between therapy and Teddi and some other personal things that I’m going through, I just hit a wall… I feel like I’m in full depressed mode.”
Mellencamp has been battling melanoma and tumors discovered in her brain and lungs.
Catania reminded Judge that she has to “listen” to herself and that she’s human, pointing out that she’s been on the show for over a decade and that “some people don’t last a season.” However, Judge said she’s “mad” at herself because she “can’t pull [her]self out of the funk,” highlighting that “2025’s been a real doozy.”
“I went into the season not knowing, not sure, very anxious and just dealing with some stuff through therapy, and you know that really breaks you down to your lowest point,” she explained. “I’m like, Should I just quit? Because it’s just I feel like it’s breaking me down so hard.”
Judge cited Mellencamp’s support throughout her personal struggles, highlighting a “pep talk” she received from her being “the first time [she’s] laughed in so long.”
Catania told Judge that “the word on the street is you need a little break,” which she seemingly confirmed.
“Yeah, when I get like this, my body just shuts down. It just completely shuts down,” Judge replied. “I can just sit in one place and stare at the wall for hours. And that’s how I feel, and it’s really hard to film like that when you feel like that.”
Judge had sparked speculation of her departure from The Real Housewives of Orange County on Sunday when, without explicitly identifying the show, wrote that “it was a long run” on her Instagram story.
“When life gives you real problems this reality shit doesn’t make sense. Peace out ✌️ Im out,” she added.
Judge also reacted to the Instagram fan account @tasteof_reality‘s post about her story, which asked if she was “quitting” the show.
“Yes!!!” Judge commented on Monday (March 10).
DECIDER reached out to Bravo for confirmation on whether Judge left the show.
While a source informed People that Judge was filming the show on the cast’s trip to New Orleans, a March 10 report from The U.S. Sun claims that she quit during this trip, though there is still potential for her to come back.
“Tamra quit in the middle of the New Orleans trip with the girls,” a production insider told the outlet. “It was just after filming an emotional scene that turned into a heated discussion and then a shouting match with Gretchen [Rossi] and Shannon [Beador].”
