Suspect arrested in connection to slaying of rapper Too Short’s brother in pot farm robbery

Cops nabbed a man in connection with the slaying of rapper Too Short’s older brother in a possible shootout at an urban pot farm in Oakland, authorities announced Friday.

Maijji Jackson was arrested two weeks after Wayne Shaw, the 61-year-old brother of the rap legend, was shot multiple times outside the California marijuana grow house, according to police.

An early investigation suggested that multiple robbers used a stolen Honda Civic to smash their way into the pot farm, where Shaw was sleeping, sources told Fox 2.

Shaw managed to flee the building, but he was gunned down after a confrontation in the street. Spent shell casings littered the pavement, and cops discovered the Civic — riddled with bullet holes — abandoned nearby.

Cops are “actively seeking additional suspects,” the Oakland Police Department said in a statement, and the local district attorney’s office is reviewing the case against Jackson.

Police have not revealed whether Shaw’s grow house was illegal, but black market weed operations are prevalent in the Bay Area and particularly vulnerable to armed robberies.

Too Short — whose given name is Todd Shaw — rose to stardom in the 80s as a pioneer of West Coast Hip Hop, influencing the likes of Snoop Dogg and OutKast.

His legend is greatest in his childhood hometown of Oakland, which named a street after him and declared Dec. 10 “Too Short Day.”
