Rory McIlroy, wife Erica Stoll kiss after Players Championship win

Rory McIlroy sealed it with a kiss after winning his second Players Championship on Monday.

The Northern Irishman, 35, and wife Erica Stoll — who called off their divorce last June — kissed during a sweet embrace after he outlasted J.J. Spaun in a three-hole playoff at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., as seen in a video on X by the PGA Tour.

McIlroy held the couple’s 4-year-old daughter Poppy, who gave him a pink flower after his victory.

Another snapshot showed McIlroy kissing his daughter’s forehead while Stoll smiled and watched.

McIlroy’s divorce petition was voluntarily dismissed by a court in Palm Beach County, Fla., where they live, Page Six previously reported.

McIlroy filed for divorce in May 2024 after seven years of marriage, stating the union was “irretrievably broken.”

He filed the documents a day after he won the Wells Fargo Championship, which Stoll did not attend.

Last June, McIlroy said he and Stoll “resolved our differences” and they “realized that our best future was as a family together,” in a statement to The Guardian.

Their divorce bombshell was put on display in the third season of “Full Swing” on Netflix, which premiered last month.

Shortly after embracing his family Monday, McIlroy posed with his new hardware.

A four-hour rain delay and windy weather impacted the final round of the Players Championship on Sunday. The playoff began at 9 a.m. Monday.

McIlroy described it as a “battle” while discussing the playing conditions at TPC Sawgrass.

“It was a battle most of the way. Conditions… even going into Monday with J.J. Battling the golf course battling my emotions,” he said. “This was a battle I was thankful to come out on top.”

After winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last month, McIlroy is on a high heading into next month’s Masters.

McIlroy, who hasn’t won a major since 2014, needs a green jacket to complete a career Grand Slam.
