Rihanna celebrated International Women’s Day by sharing never-before-seen photos from the birth of her two kids, RZA and Riot.
The “Diamonds” singer took to Instagram Saturday to honor the beauty of motherhood alongside rare images of her sons, which were taken right after they were born.
“By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay,” she captioned the post.
“And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening,” she added.
In the first photo, taken in May 2022, the hitmaker’s first born son, RZA, rested on her chest in the delivery room.
The now-2-year-old was snuggled up near the ever-glamorous singer’s neck — next to her diamond-crusted pearl choker and a gold medallion necklace.
The second photo shows Rihanna’s youngest son, now 1, curled up near her chest as she snapped a selfie in a pair of pink sunglasses. Riot was born in August 2023.
The “Umbrella” singer, 37, shares her two boys with A$AP Rocky, who she began dating in 2020.
While parenting comes with its own challenges, Rihanna recently told Harper’s Bazaar that the “greatest thing” about Rocky “is seeing him be a dad.”
She said the rapper, 36, exudes a “pureness” and a “charm” when dealing with their little ones.
“I’m annoyed because my sons sometimes just live for him more than they live for me,” she joked. “And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out?’ And they love him, but when I see it, oh, it’s the best.”
Although the couple rarely share information about their kids, Rihanna gushed about her sons’ differing personalities.
“RZA is just an empath,” she said of her eldest. “He’s so magical. He loves music. He loves melody. He loves books. He loves water. Bath time, swimming, pool, beach, anything.”
As for Riot, Rihanna said the “hilarious” toddler brings a joyful chaos to the home.
“When he wakes up, he starts to squeal, scream. Not in a crying way. He just wants to sing,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go!’ He’s my alarm in the morning! He’s not taking no for an answer from anyone. I don’t know where he came from, dude.”
While Rihanna’s cover spread with Harper’s Bazaar came out in February, the actual interview was conducted toward the end of 2024 — well before Rocky’s highly publicized assault trial.
The “Sundress” rapper was found not guilty on felony assault last month with his partner by his side.
The “devoted” singer insisted on being there for Rocky, who was facing up to 24 years in prison if found guilty, despite the “protective” rapper trying to keep her away.
Rihanna made it clear that their entire family was standing behind the dad when she brought their sons to the courthouse on Feb. 13.
