The last time we saw Dorit Kemsley on our screens, she revealed her estranged husband PK Kemsley had hit her with a seven-page email laying out his plan to cut her off financially and take custody of their two children. The brutal message left Erika Jayne and Bozoma Saint John begging Dorit to take action and protect herself from losing everything she has. The roller-coaster continues in this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with Dorit seemingly back on good terms with PK.
In an exclusive clip obtained by DECIDER, Dorit shocks Jayne and Saint John when she tells them she had a friendly conversation with PK over the phone.
“I’m talking to him and there is the father of my children, the man that I believed no longer existed,” Dorit, who blasted PK for being an absent father in last week’s episode, says.
The reality star insists that their phone call was by no means a “reconciliation,” though she did ask him to “slow down a little bit” and “communicate” with her since going to “war” would not be good for their children.
“This is about you and not about the kids. You’re asking him to slow down because you want to catch your breath. It’s not about the kids,” Saint John says, to which Dorit replies, “You’re absolutely right but you have to understand something — catching my breath is about the kids.”
Dorit says the conversation was “a hell of a lot different and better than [she] thought it would be,” but Saint John isn’t buying it.
“It feels like a trick,” she says, while Dorit insists that PK is “not” the person he made himself out to be in his threatening email. She even scolds Jayne for “side-eyeing” her defense of him.
“PK is ruthless,” Jayne says in her confessional. “He’s ruthless in business which means he’ll be ruthless in the business of divorce. I keep yelling from the mountaintops, ‘Hey. You need to take shelter!’ No one is listening to me.”
