Reality star fires back at Stefon Diggs after extortion lawsuit

Mia Jones, a reality star also known as Mulan Hernandez, alleged that she was “assaulted from behind” by Stefon Diggs after the star receiver claimed in a lawsuit that he was extorted and “threatened with a deadly weapon” during a June 7 incident.

Jones alleged in a statement that Diggs assaulted her and it led to a concussion, according to TMZ, while adding that “domestic violence is something I do not wish on anyone [and] everything that is done in the dark will come to the light.”

“This is clearly an attempt to try [and] get ahead of the truth that is to come,” she said in her statement while describing it as “very traumatic,” according to the outlet. “I WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED NOR SILENCED.”

Diggs filed a lawsuit in Harris County, Texas, this week alleging that Jones — who he had a “casual” relationship with in the months leading up to the incident — punched him in the chest in addition to the alleged threatening and extortion.

He also alleged that Jones, who previously appeared on “Basketball Wives Orlando,” and Brianna “Brii” Mack, her friend, destroyed a watch and a gaming system, and that they refused to leave.

“There were threats coming from [Jones] that he had to pay her money or she was going to go public and ruin his career,” Kent Schaffer, Diggs’ attorney, told the Houston Chronicle. “We’re kind of at the point where the threats have to stop. That’s why the decision was made to go ahead and file. At some point it just has to end.”

The lawsuit alleged that Jones went to the hospital twice following the incident, according to the Chronicle — the first one for “nausea and vomiting” after a “long night of partying,” the second one alleging she was “punched in the back of the head with a closed fist.”

Diggs’ lawsuit claimed that Jones denied “physical abuse of any kind” during the first visit, according to the Chronicle, and his attorney denied the claim of physical violence.

A 31-year-old and former fifth-round pick, Diggs tore his ACL in October to end his lone season with the Texans.

The six-time 1,000-yard receiver is now a free agent.
