NYC Mayor Eric Adams set to return to public schedule after mystery illness

Mayor Eric Adams is expected to return to his full public schedule on Thursday — after a three-day break from the limelight due to an undisclosed illness, The Post has learned.

Hizzoner has been holed up in Gracie Mansion since the weekend after visiting the doctor late last week when he started to have trouble moving around, sources said.

The doctor had advised him to take it easy for a few days while awaiting further tests, according to insiders who repeatedly said throughout the week the mayor was feeling fine.

Adams returned for a follow-up Wednesday morning with the doctor, who cleared him to get back out in public as mayor, according to sources.

City Hall press secretary Kayla Mamelak also confirmed the doctor’s visit.

The absence had sparked a flurry of various rumors in political circles, speculating the absence had to do with his criminal case or potential pardon, but those close to him have repeatedly slapped them down.

His defense attorney, Alex Spiro, sharply refuted all the rumors after a court appearance Wednesday.

“He’s not resigning,” he told reporters.

During those rest days, Adams sat down with top union members to ensure their support in the upcoming primary, which is expected to be bruising.

He was also spotted by The Post leaving the residence just after 9:15 p.m. Tuesday and not returning for hours.
