NYC fire tears through building, killing 66-year-old woman

A woman was killed when a fire ripped through a Harlem apartment building early Saturday morning, cops said.

The victim, 66, was rushed to Harlem Hospital in critical condition after the blaze broke out at 151 W. 140th St. around 1 a.m. but she couldn’t be saved, officials said.

About 60 firefighters responded to the flames that erupted in the seven-story building, cops said.

The fire originated on the fourth floor, according to police sources, where the woman lived.

The FDNY’s Bureau of Fire Investigation is investigating the cause of the blaze, officials said.

The woman’s identity was being withheld pending family notification.
