From a stalker of walkers to a penthouse hawker — Norman Reedus has officially sold his spacious penthouse in Chinatown.
The three-bed, 3.5-bath bath home sold for $5.4 million, according to records filed with the city register. “The Walking Dead” star bought the home in 2013 for $3.8 million.
Reedus gained his star status for his portrayal of the fan-favorite Daryl Dixon in the hit AMC series. Following the show’s 11-season run, Reedus reprised his role in the spin-off series, “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”
The latter series’ busy filming schedule across Europe may have put too much distance in between the 56-year-old “Boondock Saints” actor and his downtown abode, as the listing photos display a largely empty apartment.
The duplex aerie was listed for about $6 million in September, Crain’s New York previously reported.
The Compass listing for the property dubbed it “a rarely available combination of pre-war loft and glass modernism” with almost 2,600 square feet of interior space. The unit’s open-concept living room and dining room lead out to a spacious, outdoor terrace. Floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed timber beams and a woodburning fireplace add to its charm. The exposed beams are a remnant of the building’s past life as a horse stable for a nearby police building.
Compass did not respond to requests for comment.
Reedus is certainly a fan of the property, as he previously owned a unit on the second floor, which he sold in 2013 for $2 million before buying one of the building’s penthouse units.
According to the city register, the penthouse unit sold to lighting designer Lindsey Adelman, whose sculptural light fixtures have been praised by the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Marisa Tomei.
Reedus and his partner, Diane Kruger — of “Inglorious Basterds” and “Troy” fame — share a young daughter, Nova, and plenty of real estate.
The pair once owned a Los Angeles castle, which they sold in 2021. Just last year Reedus sold his estate in Georgia for $3.85 million, after trying to rent it out for $12,500 a month, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. Just a month later, Realtor.com reported that the pair unloaded their Greenwich Village townhouse at a more than $2 million loss, after several years on and off the market.
“The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” was renewed for a third season in July of last year, making 2025 Reedus’ fifteenth year playing the gruff yet loyal Daryl Dixon. Reedus also appeared in the Austin Butler film “The Bikeriders,” in 2023, and will soon star in the much-anticipated John Wick spinoff, “Ballerina,” coming to theaters this summer.
