Before I proceed any further with this post I want to make it clear I will not tolerate any bullying or shaming of me and the ladies here who celebrate Christmas. I also will not tolerate bullying or shaming of those who don’t celebrate Christmas. I’m seeing too much of this on social media. We all know Jesus was not born on December 25th during winter time. I’ve heard the arguments that celebrating Christmas has pagan roots. Well according to Google so does celebrating our birthdays also has pagan roots but I’m not going to stop celebrating birthdays. I’m not going to stop celebrating the fact that Jesus came as a little baby, grew up, performed miracles and died a shameful death or the cross for my sin and yours.
I can’t help but wonder if Joseph and Mary knew what was going to happen to their Son in the future. I think they were both very brave to take on the responsibility of raising the Savior of the world. Our Bread of Life. Our Living Water.
