LeBron James said his and wife Savannah James’ bond “can’t be f–ked with” as the Lakers rocked the NBA world by trading for Mavericks star Luka Doncic just after midnight Sunday.
James, 40, penned a touching tribute to Savannah later that day and included snapshots of the couple kissing while courtside before the Lakers’ 128-112 victory over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
“The thing about it is, is that we just grew even stronger and tighter together!!” James wrote, including a queen and king emoji, a nod to his King James nickname. “This ♾️ s–t can’t be f–ked with! Love you my Queen! Ruler of the Kingdom.”
Savannah, 38, looked stunning in an oversized denim jacket and baggy jeans.
The entrepreneur attended the game with her friend April McDaniel, who also co-hosts their “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast.
James and Savannah met when they were students at rival high schools high school in his native Akron, Ohio, and tied the knot in 2013.
They have three children: LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., 20, Bryce Maximus, 17, and Zhuri Nova, 10.
Bronny, the Lakers’ 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, signed a four-year, $7.9 million guaranteed contract with the team.
Bryce, a senior shooting guard out of Sierra Canyon, Calif., announced last month that he will take his talents to Arizona.
James recorded 33 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds — his 10th triple-double of the season — against the Knicks.
It came just before the Lakers traded away big man Anthony Davis in a three-team blockbuster with the Mavericks and the Jazz.
Dallas traded Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to Los Angeles for Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick.
Utah received Jalen Hood-Schifino, a 2025 second-round pick via the Los Angeles Clippers and the Mavericks’ 2025 second-round pick.
Many believed ESPN’s Shams Charania, who broke the news, was hacked.
“Yes, this is real,” Charania wrote on X, referring to the deal made ahead of the trade deadline on Feb. 6.
Doncic hasn’t played since Christmas Day due to a calf injury.
The five-time NBA All-Star will return to Dallas on April 9 as a Laker.
