Lane Kiffin responds to fan’s Gator Bowl bet to date his daughter

Lane Kiffin briefly paused Gator Bowl prep Thursday to respond to an interesting proposition from a fan on X.

Hours before kickoff against Duke, X user Sgt Blackout floated a bet to the Ole Miss coach that involved his daughter.

“Let’s make a bet @Lane_Kiffin If you guys don’t cover -17.5 today I get to take your daughter on a date to my local @Chilis,” the user wrote.

It didn’t take long for Kiffin, 49, to respond, writing: “She isn’t a Chilis girl.”

But Sgt Blackout wasn’t done yet, suggesting an alternative plan for the Rebels coach.

“Fine , I’ll settle for you and me go there and talk transfer portal talent over some beers then,” the user replied.

Enter Kiffin’s daughter Landry, who punted the offer.

“He isn’t a beer guy,” she replied.

Kiffin got a chuckle out of his daughter’s response and re-shared it on his own page, along with four crying laughing emojis.

The fifth-year Rebels coach has been candid about his sobriety journey, sharing in an August 2024 interview with ESPN that he hasn’t had a drink in more than three years.

Kiffin shares Landry, a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at Ole Miss, with ex Layla, as well as son Knox and daughter Presley, who plays volleyball at USC.

Kiffin and Layla announced in 2016 that they “mutually decided to divorce.”

“We are fully committed to our kids’ future being our No. 1 priority. We will maintain an amicable relationship with respect for each other as we raise these three wonderful children. We will have no further comments and appreciate respect for our family’s privacy,” Kiffin said in a statement at the time.

The Gator Bowl between the Blue Devils and Ole Miss gets underway at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville at 8 p.m. ET.

The Rebels are heavy favorites entering Thursday’s contest.
