Knicks failed first test without Jalen Brunson — but there’s a silver lining

LOS ANGELES — The Knicks basically treated Friday night’s defeat to the Clippers as a schedule loss.

They were operating on the second night of a back-to-back with no tirme to prepare for the opponent or for a game without Jalen Brunson, who was injured the night prior

Both Tom Thibodeau and Josh Hart took a glass half-full approach to their postgame comments, applauding the effort under difficult circumstances.

“It’s going to take a little bit of an adjustment to the offense, especially in the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter is a different animal by itself. So it’s going to take us a minute,” Hart said. “You know, that’s what happens when your main guy goes down. I’m happy with how we competed today. Now we’ve just got to find different ways to have the offense clicking.”
