Kayak co-founder Steve Hafner buys $24M Miami Beach penthouse

Steve Hafner, a mastermind behind the travel giant Kayak and its current CEO, has snapped up a sprawling $24 million oceanfront penthouse in Miami Beach, sources confirmed to The Post.

The transaction, finalized earlier this week, was discreetly handled through an unnamed limited liability company, keeping the high-profile purchase under wraps.

Perched atop Ocean House, an elite South-of-Fifth boutique tower with just 28 residences, this full-floor retreat boasts four bedrooms and five bathrooms across 4,124 square feet of sleek indoor space.

Add in 4,452 square feet of private outdoor areas, and it’s clear this isn’t your average beach pad.

Think towering glass walls, glossy Italian porcelain flooring and warm wood accents. The open layout flows seamlessly into a chef’s kitchen, decked out with top-tier Gaggenau appliances.

Step outside, and the perks keep coming. Wraparound balconies serve up sweeping vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and Miami’s skyline. But the real showstopper is a massive private rooftop that crowns the entire property, complete with a private 15-by-30 negative-edge pool, a spa and a slick outdoor kitchen featuring Viking gear.

A glass LED staircase ties it all together, offering unobstructed 360-degree views. Packed with cutting-edge tech, the penthouse even includes a Savant smart home system for effortless control.

Sarah Williams, the founder of Societe Real Estate, held the listing and declined to comment on the sale. Representing Hafner were Michael Duchon and Eloy Carmenate of Corcoran, who also declined to comment.

Hafner co-founded Kayak in 2004 alongside tech whiz Paul English, turning it into a go-to metasearch engine for flights, hotels, car rentals and vacation deals.

The platform, which first hit the web in 2005, evolved from its original name, Travel Search Company, Inc., to Kayak Software Corporation later that year.

Before that, Hafner cut his teeth in the travel industry by helping launch Orbitz in 1999, where he spearheaded business growth, ad sales and marketing.
