“Risky Business,” but make it fashion.
For an interview and photo shoot with Bustle, Kate Hudson channeled Tom Cruise’s iconic dancing look in the hit 1983 film.
The “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” alum showed off her toned legs in an oversized blue and white striped Proenza Schouler button-up shirt over a white Bevza tank top and Araks briefs.
She accented the look with white calf-length Calzedonia socks and black square-shaped sunglasses from Saint Laurent.
Though Cruise slid around the house sans shoes in the movie, the actress elevated her laid-back getup with cream kitten heels courtesy of Jimmy Choo.
Hairstylist Lona Vigi gave Hudson’s signature blond hair a slightly wavy look, while makeup artist Debra Ferullo was responsible for her dewy skin.
In her interview promoting upcoming Netflix show “Running Point,” Hudson says now, at 45, she’s feeling like herself in ways she hasn’t in a while.
“In Covid, I realized that my creativity had been shut off for a long time,” the A-lister explained.
“In those moments of fear, I was like, ‘I’m not putting out what I want to be totally putting out right now.’ Music was the big flashing red light for me,” Hudson added, referring to her debut album “Glorious,” which she released last May.
“I’m very clear about the things that I really want to be doing now in my life. Whether it’s good, whether it’s bad, I know how my machine wants to function.”
She also about growing up with her famous mom, Goldie Hawn, and stepfather, actor Kurt Russell.
“I had parents that instilled in me that it was OK to be self-possessed and to believe in myself. I was very driven when it came to wanting to be in the arts. I didn’t need to do a talent show with three people; I wanted to be out there by myself dancing,” Hudson reflected.
We love to see it, too.
