Kanye West shamed ex-wife Kim Kardashian for dressing “too sexy” six years before he styled current wife Bianca Censori in a completely sheer dress for the 2025 Grammys.
Ye harshly criticized Kardashian’s sizzling 2019 Met Gala dress in a re-surfaced video from Season 17 of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
In the clip, Kardashian tried on her waist-cinching “dripping wet” custom dress by Thierry Mugler before sharing in a confessional how nervous she was to ascend the famous steps at fashion’s biggest night.
“I’m so nervous because I know that Mr. Mugler is like a fashion god and I just want him to be so happy,” Kardashian explained to the E! cameras.
The scene then jumped to West discussing Kardashian’s ensemble the evening before she was supposed to walk the red carpet in the look.
“Like the corset, underwear, all of that vibe, I just feel like I just went through the transition where, from being a rapper, like, looking at all these girls, looking at my wife, like, ‘Oh, my girl needs to be just like the other girls showing her body off, showing this, showing that,’” West told Kardashian.
He then added, “I didn’t realize that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone that’s married and [in] love and the father of now, about to be, four kids.”
The rapper, who shares four kids with his former spouse, went on to describe her corset as “a form of underwear” and said that it’s “hot.”
“It’s hot for who, though?” West asked.
West’s disapproval prompted Kardashian to get defensive over the outfit.
“So like, the night before the Met, you’re going to come in here and say that you’re not into a corset back?” Kardashian seethed, adding that he was giving her “really bad anxiety.”
“What are you talking about?” the SKIMS founder pressed.
West seemed oblivious to Kardashian’s feelings, asking her why she was getting anxious from his comments.
“You knew last night I was having really bad anxiety and I don’t need any more negative energy for you to now say that you’re not into me wearing a tight dress,” she said.
West doubled down on his stance, proclaiming: “You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy.”
Kardashian swiftly shut down West by pointing out that he was the one who “built [her] up to be this sexy person and [have] confidence.”
“Just because you’re on your journey and your transformation, doesn’t mean that I’m in the same spot with you,” Kardashian said, referring to his spiritual awakening.
West removed himself from the conversation by storming out of the room.
“Ok, alright. Cool,” West said as he exited.
Kardashian reacted to his outburst by turning to her team and telling them, “That’s absolutely ridiculous.”
The “Stronger” artist, 47, and Kardashian, 44, were married for seven years before she filed to divorce him in February 2021. A year later, they settled their divorce and he went on to marry Censori that December.
Several netizens were quick to point out the hypocrisy of West bashing Kardashian’s seductive style, only to show up to the Grammys on Sunday with Censori dressed in nothing but a see-through dress and no undergarments.
West and Censori sent shockwaves online when they hit the Grammys red carpet earlier this week.
The architect was seen wearing a long fur coat, and at the command of her husband, she removed the topper to reveal her naked body covered only by a sheer stocking-material minidress.
West, who remained fully clothed, stood by her and watched her closely as photographers snapped their pics.
A source told Page Six that the pair were subsequently escorted out of the event by police, though a second insider claimed they left by choice. West showed up after being nominated for the best rap song award.
A lip reader translated what looked like an uncomfortable conversation between the couple right before Censori put her entire body on display.
West allegedly told her to “start making a scene now” and “drop it behind you and then turn, I got you,” to which Censori replied, “All right, let’s go.”
A body language expert claimed that Censori appeared to be showing signs of “fear” and “nervousness” before de-robing.
Censori will reportedly not face legal consequences over the salacious ordeal as the Grammys is a private event and no one filed any formal complaints against her.
