Kanye West has fled to Tokyo to “decompress” after his vulgar and controversial social media rants against his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children.
Insiders told TMZ Monday that the “Bound 2” rapper traveled from Los Angeles to Japan last week and “instantly calmed down.”
Sources claimed that being in Tokyo makes West feel “completely disconnected and calm,” while LA “can be a trigger” for him.
According to the report, the Yeezy designer’s wife, Bianca Censori, checked out of the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood on Monday, though it’s unclear whether she plans to join her husband amid their marital woes.
The 24-time Grammy winner’s most recent social media antics started on March 15 when he got into a heated argument with Kardashian over the release of a song featuring their eldest child, North West, Christian “King” Combs and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Kanye, 47, uploaded an alleged screenshot of a text exchange between himself and Kardashian, 44, discussing the trademark of the 11-year-old’s name.
“I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her,” the “Kardashians” star wrote, adding, “One person has to trademark!”
“Amend it or I’m going to war,” Kanye responded. “And neither of us will recover from the public fallout.”
“You’re going to have to kill me,” he concluded.
The “Heartless” rapper later took to X to accuse the “Kardashian mob” of restricting his parenting and attempting to put him in jail.
Sources told Page Six that Kardashian wants to keep the kids away from their father’s controversial behavior and doesn’t want North professionally tied to Diddy.
According to TMZ, the Skims mogul is contemplating stripping Kanye of joint custody.
Kanye and Kardashian — who finalized their divorce in 2022 — share four kids: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
Last week, a video surfaced of Kanye on a phone call with Diddy, who warned the “All Falls Down” rapper of people who were “trying to end [them].”
The Bad Boys Records founder, 55, also thanked Kanye for showing up for his kids as he sits behind bars awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
The “Stronger” rapper’s controversies continued the next day when he inexplicably questioned the mental capacity of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s twins, Rumi and Sir, 7.
Kanye later backtracked on his disrespectful remarks out of fear that his X account would be suspended.
Page Six learned that the music power couple is “discussing” taking legal action against Kanye for the “offensive and vulgar” attack.
