President Donald Trump’s oldest grandchild Kai Trump gave a behind-the-scenes look at his historic Inauguration Day festivities that capped off the “experience of a lifetime.”
“Today my grandpa becomes president of the United States again — let’s go!” Kai Trump said in a video posted on YouTube.
Kai Trump’s vlog began with morning coffee before she captured footage of her family walking into St. John’s Episcopal Church for a prayer service and the motorcade ride to the Capitol on Sunday.
Her father Donald Jr. crashed the vlog and revealed his last-minute decision to pull his oldest daughter onstage at Capital One Arena to say a few words during the victory rally on Sunday.
“She absolutely crushed it like she always does,” he said before kissing her forehead.
The father-daughter duo said they were looking forward to the Inaugural Ball, where the duo danced together.
“We’re gonna have two people with two left feet, so it’s gonna get interesting,” Trump Jr. joked. “Kai’s gonna break out some of her breakdancing moves so it’s going to be awesome.”
Kai Trump — who has documented her journey alongside her grandfather’s campaign — said she couldn’t record the official swearing-in ceremony but showed clips for her viewers.
The keen golfer sat several rows behind former President Joe Biden and had a clear view down the aisle of where her grandfather took his oath of office.
The 47th President shouted Kai out during the inaugural parade held inside the Capital One Arena when he praised his youngest son Barron’s help to win over the “youth votes” during his presidential campaign.
“Another famous one, how about Kai? Stand up Kai,” the president said.
Footage captured Kai – sitting two rows behind her grandfather – waving to the crowd when she received a standing ovation from the packed arena.
She then revealed that she’s only been to the White House 20 times as she went to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue before the night’s final events.
She said she used to play hide-and-seek with Barron and her younger brother when she visited the White House during her grandfather’s first term.
“In the front lawn, me, Barron and Donnie would play soccer and everybody would watch and it was really funny,” she said.
After entering the White House, Kai Trump – wearing a silver Sherri Hill dress with sequin diamonds – took photos with her dad, brother, sister and friends inside the Mural Room.
“We’re in the White House right now, pretty legendary,” she admitted.
Kai Trump pointed out the various rooms of different colors including the Green Room, Yellow Room and the Red Room — which she called her favorite.
While in the Red Room, Trump and Don Jr. took advantage of some free time to practice their dance for their appearances at the Liberty and Starlight balls.
Kai Trump began to panic when she heard the large crowd at the sold-out ball.
“Oh, that’s loud out there. I’m dancing in front of that many people,” she said. “At this point, I’d rather sing.”
Kai Trump and her father slow danced at the Liberty Ball to the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody,” alongside the rest of her family and Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance.
At the Starlight Ball, Trump and her father danced to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”
Following the dance, Kai and her grandfather posed for a smile-filled photo.
She said she was “lost” and joked that her younger brother, Donald Trump III, was a “horrible dancer.”
The vlog cut to an exhausted Kai Trump saying she returned to the hotel at around 1 a.m. while she reflected on the “historical” moment with her family.
“Today was a really cool day and honestly an experience of a lifetime. Very historical and it was really nice to just be there with the family today, and really enjoy the moment,” she said.
“I’m excited for the future, so let’s keep this thing rolling.”
