Julia Fox chopped off her own hair — and ‘immediately regretted it’

Julia Fox just added hairstylist to her resume.

On Thursday night, the “Uncut Gems” alum debuted a head-turning pixie cut — which she DIY’d with kitchen shears — at the New York premiere of her forthcoming film, “Presence.”

Fox told Page Six exclusively at the event, “I was going for Ace Ventura, like sleazy guy, I don’t know, I’m just into that right now.”

“I like cut off all of my hair the other day, and then I just kept going. And now we’re here,” she added.

When asked if she was nervous about chopping off her locks, Fox immediately answered, “No, no.”

She continued, “It was a long time coming, I’ve been wanting to do it for a long time. And you know, sometimes in life, you just gotta take the plunge and do it. It’ll grow back, it’s just hair.”

However, prior to the premiere, Fox shared a TikTok of her at-home beauty experiment, captioning the video, “Immediately regretted it”

Mouthing the viral TikTok sound, “Girl, don’t do it. It’s not worth it. I’m not going to do it, girl. I was just thinking about it. I’m not going to do it,” Fox held scissors in a threatening fashion.

The “Down The Drain” author, 34, then showed her new platinum blond hairdo, mouthing to the end of the soundbite, “I did it.”

Though the actress may not have initially been sold on the final result, followers assured Fox the haircut suits her well.

One person complimented her, saying, “Julia fox you look good in everything pls.” Another added, “Giving David Bowie in the beginning love ❤️”

Meanwhile, a third wrote, “There’s nothing you could do that doesn’t make you more iconic. The action is iconic. Everything is dripping in ICON.”

The New York native is a true hair chameleon, considering last month, for the NGV Gala 2024, she rocked long locks that went below her butt.

Her wavy, Rapunzel-like strands were created by hairstylist and wig creator John Novotny.

It seems 2025 is shaping up to be the year of celebrity pixie cuts, as Renée Zellweger just debuted the same short hairstyle on the cover of British Vogue.

According to an interview with the magazine, her hairstylist, Syd Hayes, got inspiration from Bowie’s “flopping fringe and jagged ends” look.

Who will chop it all off next?
