The Rangers’ reliance on Jonny Brodzinski has seemingly increased from season to season.
For even though his job description has read “depth forward” his entire time in New York, Brodzinski’s attitude, versatility and commitment to the team has made him an easy player to lean on in different situations throughout his five years in the organization.
The Blueshirts have only gotten more and more comfortable doing so, which has only been possible because of how dependable the 31-year-old journeyman has been.
Having already collected a career-high 10 goals entering Wednesday night’s matchup with the Wild at Madison Square Garden, after scoring three goals in the previous four games, Brodzinski has stepped up offensively this season in an unprecedented way.
