Jesus Guerrero’s sister on ‘sickness’ before hairstylist’s death

Jesus Guerrero’s sister shared that the celebrity hairstylist did not “look well” days before his sudden death at age 34.

Gris Guerrero told Us Weekly on Tuesday that their family has “been able to track every one of his steps, but … don’t know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness.”

“It all happened suddenly, and no one knows why,” she added.

Gris confirmed Jesus had been at a US hospital when he died, “and that’s part of why there are so many unanswered questions because nothing they had done was able to prevent this from happening.”

Going further into the timeline of his death, the grieving sister explained that the glam guru had a rather busy month in February, as he worked with Kylie Jenner for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, singer Kali Uchis for the Grammys and Jennifer Lopez for a recent work trip to the United Arab Emirates.

“Everyone on his team did everything they could to get him to the doctors because he was not well,” she said.

“They told him he was not going to work, he should see a doctor and rest. And he wanted to come home.”

However, as soon as he showed up in Dubai, “he was told, ‘You don’t look well,’ to sit down and rest,” according to Gris, and “if he didn’t get well, to go back to the hospital. [They told him], ‘We want you to take care of yourself.’”

Although Jesus managed to make it to a doctor in Dubai, he “was focused on coming home, and his roommate forced him to go to doctors [when he returned to America].”

In regard to his funeral, Gris told the magazine that “[there are] unanswered questions, and it may take some time to properly have something for him.”

“We are getting some help, but it is a waiting game for everyone to do what they can to get answers,” she added, referencing Jenner, 27, paying for the funeral arrangements when the time comes.

Gris confirmed Jesus’ death Saturday via a GoFundMe page with a statement that read, “It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven.

“He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more … Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly.”

Gris shared several photos of Jesus and explained their family was raising money to transport his body from Los Angeles to his home state of Texas.

The Guerrero family also shared via Instagram that they have “fallen into tears repeatedly reminiscing and wondering what [they] could of [sic] done different [sic] to still have him with [them].”

Jesus — who was beloved in the Hollywood community — was mourned by many celebs, including Lopez, Jenner and Kim and Khloé Kardashian.

Speaking about Jenner, Gris said, “She has told us anything we need. Jesus was family to her, and she was family to him.

“She has kept an open line. Anything we need, any questions we have, she has been there for us. She wants his memory to be honored and wants to do as much as she can so he gets the farewell he deserves.”

Lopez also reached out, Gris confirmed, and “talked us through everything that she could, along with others that were there.”

“I am very grateful for everything she did [for him],” Gris shared, “to go to the doctor and not to work and to get rest.”
