Barefaced and beautiful.
On Friday, Jennifer Love Hewitt marked her 46th birthday by posting makeup-free and filter-free selfies on Instagram with a lengthy caption about the beginning of 2025.
“It’s been a hard start to the year,” the “9-1-1” star, who wore a gray sweatshirt, stud nose piercing and pendant necklace in the photos, wrote.
“I don’t quite feel myself. But yet I feel like maybe this is all to bring me closer to who I am meant to be. In this feeling of loss and being lost I have found a strange calm and letting go that doesn’t usually come easy to me,” she said, in part.
The actress, who has been in the public eye since the early ’90s, got candid about aging in Hollywood.
Hewitt wrote, “I have experienced and seen how the world can be cruel to women as they age and yet seen the women I admire become happier, sexier and more powerful with every added number.”
The comment section is flooded with birthday wishes and sweet responses to her caption.
One wrote, “Isn’t it great how much more of our lives we own as we get older (and wiser). The important things in life come clearly into focus. Have a great birthday ❤️”
“What a beautiful message!! I am a breast cancer survivor and see aging as a gift now. It is a privilege to have lived. Embrace it,” a second added.
Another follower quipped, “Jennifer did you forget something? You forgot to age… Lol”
The makeup-free look has been Hewitt’s go-to way to celebrate her birthday lately; In 2023, she posted the same style of selfies to mark turning 44.
And, later that same year, she sent fans into a frenzy when she dyed her hair blond and looked totally youthful, though the star hit back at those who said she looked “unrecognizable” and denied plastic surgery.
She later admitted that “aging in Hollywood is really hard,” saying, “You don’t want to care what people think about you, but you have to care what people think about you.”
