Jason Kelce, wife Kylie talk keeping spark alive with kids

Jason and Kylie Kelce are “in the thick of” parenthood — but managing to keep the spark alive in their marriage.

The pair discussed the dangers of falling into “the whole mom and dad routine” in Friday’s episode of Kylie’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast.

Jason, 37, acknowledged that every couple raising young children struggles with that dynamic “from time to time.”

When Kylie, 32, said “always … dating your spouse” helps, he agreed, “[It] reminds you to spend time and take the time to do things with that person, and that can get lost very easily, especially with kids.”

The couple wed in April 2018 and are the parents of three daughters — Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1 — with a fourth baby girl on the way.

“We’re in that phase of life,” Kylie noted during the Valentine’s Day conversation. “Obviously, our main focus right now is very much our kids.”

Because of that, she explained that getting rare “moments to enjoy time together” is “even more special.”

Kylie added that she “makes” Jason hold her hand when they are out and simply finds “beauty in embracing the phase of life we’re in.”

The former field hockey coach told listeners that when Jason is busy with work, she and her little ones tune in to watch him.

This allows her to “still have that love and affection even if [she is] not able to express it in a romantic husband-and-wife way.”

The retired Philadelphia Eagles player chimed in to emphasize the importance of “just talking and sharing.”

The former athlete noted, “The key … is talking to your spouse like, ‘Hey, I really miss going to dinner … [and] moments that get overshadowed while you’re busy.’”

Jason believes “voicing that” allows the “other person to go out of the way to do the things you’re missing out on.”

Elsewhere in the episode, the duo playfully argued over who is the “least romantic” person in their partnership.

They also cracked up over Jason farting on their second date while bending over to tie an ice skate, brushing off the awkward moment with a casual “whoops.”

Jason and Kylie have been together since meeting on Tinder in 2015.

Kylie revealed the cheeky pickup lines she used on her now-husband — one that worked and another that flopped — during Wednesday’s “Call Her Daddy” episode.

She also made rare comments about brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, from not eating the pop star’s home-cooked meal during a double date to bonding with her over a surprising connection.
