American-Israel Sagui Dekel-Chen will be among the three hostages being released by Hamas in the latest exchange planned for this weekend, Israel announced on Friday.
The 36-year-old father of three — whose family lives in Connecticut — will be released along with Russian-Israeli Alexandre Sasha Troufanov, 29, and Israeli Iair Horn, 46, in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, officials said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said that the list is acceptable to Israel and the families of the hostages have approved the release of the names, The Times of Israel reported.
The announcement come after days of uncertainty about whether the ceasefire agreed last month would hold.
