There’s a ton of new content to stream on Netflix as we head towards the holiday season. If you’re in the mood for a Christmas movie, Alicia Silverstone and Oliver Hudson star in A Merry Little Ex-Mas. Perhaps you want to get lost in an engaging mystery thriller? If so, the new Claire. Danes/Matthew Rhys series The Beast in Me might be for you.
Plus, Part 1 of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things debuts Wednesday, November 26, with Parts 2 and 3 dropping on December 25 and December 31, respectively.
Over the past few years, Netflix has embraced live sports. The streamer will host two NFL Christmas games — the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions/Minnesota Vikings matchup — and was supposed to stream a Jake Paul/Tank Davis fight.
That bout was originally scheduled to air on Friday, November 14, but, sadly, the event was canceled. Who will Jake Paul fight next? Here’s everything we know.
Is The Jake Paul Fight on Netflix Tonight?
Nope. Unfortunately, the Jake Paul vs.Gervonta “Tank” Davis fight was canceled.
Why Was The Jake Paul Fight Canceled?
On Monday, November 3, Most Valuable Promotions announced that the Jake Paul/Gervonta Davis fight originally scheduled for November 14 at Kaseya Center in Miami was canceled.
Per ESPN, the decision to cancel the high-profile bout came a few days after Davis was accused of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress in a civil lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel.
“Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly,” CEO of Most Valuable Promotions Nakisa Bidarian said in a statement. “While we will not be moving forward with this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to headline an event on Netflix in 2025. Details regarding a new date, location, Jake’s opponent, and additional bouts will be shared as soon as they are finalized.”
Who Will Jake Paul Fight Next?
There’s no official announcement, but Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger reports that Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul are finalizing a deal to fight on Netflix.
The bout is reportedly scheduled to take place this December in Miami.
