Hailey Ostrom reveals stalker nightmare as man shows up at her house

Golf influencer Hailey Ostrom said she was the victim of a terrifying incident when a man showed up at her home on Friday night.

In a video posted to her Instagram and TikTok, Ostrom, 30, explained that she was contacted by a club she frequently plays at last Monday and the club said a man was there asking about her — and asking the club to contact her to tell her to call him.

Ostrom said the man was communicating with a fake social media page that he believed belonged to her and that the man sent $50,000 to the person he thought was her.

“He left his name, I did not recognize his name and I basically chalked it up to, this is probably a follower, just let it go,” Ostrom said. “I dropped it and forgot about it until… that man showed up at my house. It was a very scary situation for me and I have never had anything happen like that happen before.”

Ostrom — who has 927,000 followers on Instagram and 586,600 TikTok followers — did not disclose the man’s name or the name of the club.

“He was able to get my address by abusing his job at his work and finding all of my information,” she said. “It turns out he’s been messaging a fake Hailey Ostrom page thinking that it was me and sending them $50,000. He was obviously mad when that person stopped messaging him and so he figured out a way to get to me and came to my home.

“I was very scared and had even texted my parents during this interaction, telling them to send cops to my house right away. He did not make any threats and he did eventually leave on his own free will. But as you can imagine, I don’t know his intentions and because some of the situations that have happened in my past with some followers I was very skeptical and scared and not going to take any risk.”

Ostrom went on to explain that she will never message anyone to ask for a follow on any other social media pages or ask for money. She also said she doesn’t have a WhatsApp.

“There are 100s of fake pages of me alone and I report them daily but unfortunately a lot of these platforms do not do a good job of taking them down,” she said. “I never want to feel scared or feel like my privacy was taken away ever again. So I am taking the necessary precautions to make sure that I am even safer in my own home. I really appreciate all of my followers who respect my privacy and don’t do anything crazy like that.

Ostrom added that “in the coming weeks I will be posting about something to try and solve this problem so stay tuned on that.”

I will NEVER ask you for money. all of my accounts are linked on my website (haileyostrom.com). Please @instagram @meta @tiktok @facebook, remove these fake pages!”
