Another sky-high city stunner has just flown off the market.
Penthouse 80 at 520 Fifth Ave. has entered contract for its full $11.5 million asking price mere months after hitting the market, The Post has learned.
Perched 880 feet above Midtown, the dwelling holds the title of the highest-elevated private residence on Fifth Avenue. And at 1,002 feet above ground, 520 Fifth is also the tallest residential tower along the north-to-south avenue.
According to sources, the sale is expected to close by year’s end. The identity of the forthcoming owner is not yet known.
“We are now 90% sold, and with only two penthouses remaining and a select few residences left in total, we couldn’t be more thrilled by the interest we’ve seen in this truly one-of-a-kind mixed use Midtown project,” said Donna Puzio, senior sales director of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, which is leading sales at the building, told The Post.
First listed in late November, this full-floor aerie spans 2,562 square feet and was meticulously designed by the sought-after firm Charles & Co., known for catering to Hollywood’s elite, including George and Amal Clooney.
It boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a powder room, along with a chef’s kitchen and a spa-like primary bath clad in marble. With nearly 13-foot ceilings and massive arched windows, the penthouse offers jaw-dropping panoramas from every angle.
“The penthouse has 360-degree views because it’s the full floor — south to downtown and of course the Empire State Building, to the east to the Chrysler Building, and to both rivers … and to the north there’s Central Park,” Puzio previously said.
These massive windows do more than frame the skyline; they add historic charm.
“They have a window sill and moldings, and give great character,” Puzio added.
While Penthouse 80 may be one of the tallest private homes in the city, its views are only rivaled by Penthouse 88, the building’s private amenity suite.
That space features a glass-roofed solarium, a library lounge with an Emperador marble fireplace, a private dining room with custom mural wall coverings and a gaming room with a vintage billiard table.
“It’s amazing they chose to give all residents access to the views from the very top of the building,” Puzio previously said of the tower’s development firm, New York-based Rabina.
Inside Penthouse 80, attention to detail is everywhere.
The 31-foot-long entry gallery leads to a corner great room bathed natural light. The powder room is wrapped in black French Saint Laurent marble. The kitchen stuns with honed Taj Mahal quartzite countertops, white lacquer and walnut cabinetry, and a massive island fit for entertaining.
The primary suite is equally impressive, with three exposures, a walk-in wardrobe, and a five-fixture bath adorned with Calacatta Golden Lincoln and Verde Laguna marbles.
The entire development has 100 condos ranging from one- to four-bedrooms.
The building is expected to be completed in late 2025.
