I love studying my Bible so I thought I would share just a few things I use to help me understand what I’m reading. For one I like using commentaries. They help give an explanation of the verse but remember a commentary is not to be used in place of your Bible. I also use dictionaries but not just any dictionaries. I use a Bible dictionary and the Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary which is free online or from your app store. I use highlighters that don’t bleed but enjoying using colored pencils too. I quit color coding verses because I was getting overwhelmed trying to keep track of the colors. A YouTube content creator recommended using a Bible atlas since Bibles don’t have a ton of maps. I haven’t used an atlas but I plan on using one because there are times I’m curious where a certain place mentioned in my Bible reading is located.
