Eric Mabius, the actor best known for his work on the TV show “Ugly Betty,” was arrested for battery Thursday morning, the Post can confirm.
Mabius, 53, was also booked for resisting a law enforcement officer without violence, according to online inmate.
TMZ was the first to report the news.
The star was taken into custody by officers from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department in Florida on Thursday at 2:13 a.m. ET. Mabius, who is a Florida resident, was booked into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center at 5:45 a.m.
Both Mabius’ battery and resisting an officer without violence charges are misdemeanors. The Post reached out to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department for comment.
In a booking photo obtained by the Post, the actor appears to have a bruise and a cut on the corner of his right eye.
A rep for Mabius did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment.
In addition to his work on “Ugly Betty,” Mabius has appeared on other popular TV shows, including “The OC,” “Blue Bloods,” “The L Word,” “Outcasts” and “Chicago Fire.” He also had memorable roles in movies such as “Cruel Intentions,” “Resident Evil” and “The Crow: Salvation.”
Most recently, he starred in the Hallmark series “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”
