Elon Musk says he’ll appear on ‘The Daily Show’ on one condition

Elon Musk said he’s happy to appear on “The Daily Show” — but only under one condition.

The world’s richest man, 53, made the revelation on his X platform when he responded to a fan who suggested that he should go on Jon Stewart’s late-night show.

“I will do it if the show airs unedited,” the Tesla CEO wrote on X Tuesday.

His post quickly gained traction, and received a response from the political show’s official X account, which read, “We’d be delighted!”

On Wednesday, Musk offered to send Stewart some Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) merchandise after the host unleashed a rant over the department’s recent budget cuts.

Stewart got so heated during his spiel Monday night that he sliced his hand open after slamming his coffee cup on his anchor’s desk.

He continued with the rest of the show with an injured hand, which later prompted him to receive a proposition from Musk on social media.

“I will send him some @DOGE merch to comfort him while he recovers from this injury,” Musk wrote on X the following day.

Indeed, the Trump official store sells a large number of merch items, including $55 MAGA baseball caps and Trump-emblazoned pickleball paddles, which go for $180 a pop.

Over the weekend, the president’s official store began selling DOGE membership cards for $47 each.

The DOGE collection also features T-shirts, tops, and several other items — all of which boast a graphic of the president’s face.

Musk returned to his platform later that day to post a bullseye emoji in response to an X user’s post that read, “There is a metaphor here. Democrats are so lost in anti-Elon anger that they end up hurting themselves.”

“Anger management issues,” the SpaceX founder later wrote in response to a post that said Stewart’s injury “is not normal.”

During Monday’s show, Stewart said he wants DOGE to work alongside a more efficient government.

“I want to get rid of the alphabet agencies that don’t do enough,” he said. “Make the Pentagon pass an audit. But we are DOGE-ing in the wrong place if we want to really change the system.”
