A driver-in-training’s worst nightmare came true Wednesday evening when she smashed into a Brooklyn warehouse building – killing her elderly relative in the back seat, cops and sources said.
A 33-year-old woman was practicing her driving at the historic Floyd Bennett Field on Flatbush Avenue in Marine Park around 6:10 p.m. when she suddenly lost control of the 2022 Toyota RAV4 and slammed into the building, police and sources said.
Her back seat passenger, 76-year-old Pearle Davis, was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The motorist was hospitalized in critical condition, and a 45-year-old woman who was riding in the front seat was listed in stable condition, cops said.
The three women were part of the same family, but their exact relationship was not immediately clear, sources said.
No arrests have been made.

Floyd Bennett Field served as the city’s first municipal airport after World War I.
It no longer serves that original purpose, but a section is still used as a NYPD helicopter base, and one runway is used by hobbyists flying radio-controlled aircraft.
