Casey Deidrick, known for playing Chad DiMera on “Days of Our Lives,” has been arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident.
The 37-year-old actor was taken into custody in Nashville, Tenn., on Sunday, February 2, and booked by Davidson County Sheriff’s Office at 3:35 p.m. local time, according to online records.
A representative from the sheriff’s office confirmed to The Post that Deidrick was hit with two charges: one for domestic assault and another for interference with an emergency call.
He was released on Monday, February 3, at 3:36 a.m. after posting a $2,500 bond.
Deidrick — who rose to fame on the soap opera and later starred in The CW’s “In The Dark — allegedly got into a heated argument with his girlfriend in their Nashville home on Sunday morning after believing she was recording him without his consent on her phone, according to TMZ.
The actor allegedly grabbed the phone from his significant other before things reportedly escalated.
Deidrick allegedly claimed that his girlfriend wrapped her hands around his neck; however, officers found no evidence to support that accusation, per an arrest warrant cited by the outlet.
The soap star’s girlfriend told her side, allegedly admitting that they got into a fight, but she denied recording him.
She claimed she was “cowered in a corner” of the kitchen during the argument, telling police that Deidrick placed her in a bear hug from behind and allegedly ripped her phone out of her hands.
His girlfriend allegedly demanded he return her phone so she could call 911, claiming she feared for her safety. Deidrick reportedly returned her device after she promised to move out that day.
The Post reached out to Deidrick’s representative and did not immediately hear back.
The actor starred on “Days of Our Lives” as Chad DiMera in 362 episodes from 2009 to 2013. Deidrick has also been featured in “Glee,” “Teen Wolf,” “A Very Merry Bridesmaid” and more.
More recently, he played Max Parish in The CW series “In The Dark” alongside Perry Mattfeld, who portrayed Murphy Mason.
Mattfeld’s character was a blind, hard-drinking twenty-something whose world came crashing down when she discovered her friend’s lifeless body in the alley outside her apartment, leading her to work overtime to find his killer.
Deidrick played her love interest and the audience’s eye candy in the series.
